“Lose weight with ”miracle diets” – a protein-rich diet
Many of the weight loss diets popular today are based on reducing the amount of carbohydrates and increasing the amount of proteins and fats (e.g. Atkins diet, South Beach diet, Zone diet, paleo diet). It is recommended to exclude or significantly limit the consumption of grain foods, as well as carbohydrate-rich fruits, vegetables and legumes from the menu. Following such diets really leads to weight loss and, at the same time, a decrease in the health problems associated with excess weight.
The aforementioned diets have a protein content of between 20 and 401 g/day. However, the healthiness of a high-protein diet is questionable because national or regional dietary recommendations based on scientific research do not support this type of diet.
